Timber

The environmental credentials of Timber are unsurpassed, a truly renewable resource. Timber can provide an infinite supply for our use, with properly managed forests. Forests also convert Carbon Dioxide into Oxygen, a process than can help reduce the effects of greenhouse gases. Light, yet strong. Timber is also infinitely versatile, offering a range of functional qualities, from structural building Timbers, external fencing, cladding, decking, boat building, second fix Timber, model making and flooring.

Sawn Softwood Carcassing, which can be graded (C16 . C24) and Pressure Treated (Tanalised). Protection against decay and insect attack with Pressure Treated Preservatives (Tanalising) can further benefit to help ensure a long and trouble free service life. Totton Timber stock a large range of Tanalith Treated fencing, including Feather Edge, Arris Rails, Cant Rails, Capping, Fence Posts and of course Waney Edge Fence Panels all of which are Pressure Treated. We are one of the few stockists of Prepared Hardwoods including Sapele, Oak and Ash, most other Hardwood is available in a sawn state in about three to five days. We carry stocks of Sawn Hardwoods including Ash, Iroko, Jelutong, Oak, Meranti & Sapele. Other species can be obtained. Totton Timber also stock Planed All Round(PAR) in Ash, Meranti, Oak & Sapele, together with moulded Hardwoods in Oak and Sapele. We can order hardwoods to suite your needs.

We specialise in Planed and Moulded Sections from Joinery Quality Scandinavian Redwood. The smallest Planed All Round (PAR) size is a nominal 12 x 38 mm to 50 X 225mm PAR, 75 X 175mm PAR & 100 X 100mm PAR. Just a few of the mouldings we stock are Bullnosed, Chamfered & Rounded, Ogee, Tourus Architrave & Skirting and Ovulo, Lambs Tongue Skirtings. Also Handrails, Window Boards, Sash Sections, Cladding, Flooring, Quadrant and Dowels.

Doors

At Totton Timber we stock an extensive range of Internal Doors and External Doors. The Doors are supplied to Totton Timber on a weekly delivery basis by Premdor,S.T.P. Doors, Leeds Plywood Doors and X.L. Joinery. Our stock range includes Quality Oak, Clear Pine and Knotty Pine Doors. These Doors are available in 4 panel Victorian 6 panel Colonial and a range of pre-glazed doors.

A full range of white primed moulded panel doors is also stocked and available in most sizes including metric doors. Some of the other Doors stocked are pattern 2XG, 2XGG, SA, and 10in softwood, Ply flush Doors, Hardboard Doors, Primaseal Doors and Sapele Doors. We also have a range of high quality natural veneered Flush Doors in American Cherry, Anegre, Ash, Koto, Maple and Red Oak. Totton Timber also stock a full range of Fire Doors some of which are glazed.

Our stock of Exterior Doors include a range of competitively priced Quality Traditional Doors, with Mortice and Tennon Construction made from selected Hardwoods. Styles of the Traditional Doors include Carolina, Colonial, Alacanti, Acacia, Kentucky and Richmond. Other popular Doors stocked include, Stable Doors in Hardwood and Softwood, Ledged and Braced Doors, Framed Ledged and Braced Doors in Softwood and Door Pairs.

Totton Timber also carries a stock of Door Frames and unglazed Window Frames. The full range of Premdor Window Frames are available to order, with optional extras, including double glazing, factory finishing, swept heads and alternative ironmongery. All other Doors from the suppliers catalogues generally within a week.

Plywood

Totton Timber always have a large stock of good quality W.B.P. Far Eastern Plywood, ranging from 3.6mm to 25mm. Far Eastern Plywood is a very versatile material and may be used for a multitude of applications both internal and external. Our range of plywood also includes Gaboon Plywood, real wood veneered Plywood, with an Ash, Beech, Oak, Pine or Sapele face, both in 4mm and 6mm thicknesses. Another Plywood held in stock is Shuttering Plywood which can be used in many jobs including; concreting, roofing, flooring and hoardings.

Totton Timber stock a large range of exterior and interior European Birch Plywood, from a very thin 0.4mm to a 24mm thick. The thin plywood is useful in model making, whilst the interior Birch Plywood is also good when using laser cutters, as used many schools. As you would expect, we also stock the more day to day sheet materials, for example O.S.B. (Orientated Strand Board), which can be used in some instances to replace Shuttering Plywood. Hardboard, Oil Tempered Hardboard, Whitefaced Hardboard and Pegboard.

Sundeala Board A and Sundeala Board K, Korlite Board (pin board), Chipboard, Flooring grade Chipboard (V313), Melamine Faced Medium Density Fibre Board (White) and Buffalo Board (Phenolic Ply) are some of the Timber based Sheet Materials we stock. If we do not have what you need for that job, we can normally get it for you. Non Timber based Sheet Materials we stock include: Plasterboard, Gyproc Multi Board, Masterboard and Jablite Polystyrene. Totton Timber also provide a cutting facility (at a small charge).

MDF

Medium Density Fibre Board (MDF) is stocked in 2440 X 1220mm sheets from 3mm to 25mm. MDF is a very versatile material and easy to work with, no knots or shakes and therefore, very little wastage. A real wood veneered MDF 19mm thick is available in Ash, Beech, Oak, Pine and Sapele other veneers are available to order.

At Totton Timber we also carry a large range of primed MDF Skirting Board and MDF Architrave in the following patterns; Bullnosed, Lambs Tongue, Ogee, Ovolo, Torus and Splayed. All mouldings are white primed ready for painting, saving time and money on preparation i.e. knotting and priming. MDF white primed Window Board is another popular product available in 25 X 145mm finished size to 25 X 294mm finished size.

MDF benefits the normal Window Board as there is no warping or shrinkage due to the varying temperatures normally found on internal window cills. MDF white primed TGV&B Wall Boards in 14.5 X 234mm sizes are also stocked. We also have a 2440 X 1220 X 9mm TGV&B Sheet (unprimed) with 100mm TGV&B boards running either long or short ways across the board.

New to Totton Timber is a large range of real Oak wrapped MDF available in Skirtings, Architraves and Window Boards.

Wood Flooring

Wood flooring has become something of a speciality for us. We can offer an extensive range or either solid wood flooring or real wood veneered engineered flooring. Our wood flooring is available in a variety of timbers and finishes including oak, beech, and maple. With a choice of finishes including laquered, oiled, fumed and wax-oiled. We also stock a range of wood flooring treatments and can offer advice on all aspects of wood flooring treatment and maintenance.

Trade Counter

Here at Totton Timber we have a well stocked Trade Counter with everything you would expect to find. For example, tools by Stanley, Irwin, Faithfull, De Walt, and Hitachi. Spax screws, nails of all types from 500g bags to 25kg boxes and all sizes of coach bolts. Paint Brushes, Rollers and Dust Sheets along with paint, varnishes, Libron Oils and Waxes and a new product, Treatex Floor Care, all designed to complement our Hardwood range of Flooring, Softwood Doors and Hardwood Doors.

Totton Timber carry a huge range of Internal Door Handles and Latches and External Door Handles and Latches in Brass, Satin and Chrome. There is also a top of the range designer collection by Karacher for those extra special jobs. For Gates, Stable Doors and Framed Ledged and Braced Doors,Totton Timber stock Black Japanned Suffolk Latches ,T Hinges, Knobs and Bow Handles.

We also carry a full range of adhesives and fixings, the builders old faithful Gripfill, most types of External Silocants and Internal Silocons.
